REGION 1 NEWS
ASCE welcoming applications for Student Transition Activity 'STAY' Grants

Is your ASCE Section or Branch making plans to reach out to undergraduates this year? Need money to make this year’s events more engaging and relevant? ASCE is launching a pilot test of a new Student Transition Activity Grant program for local ASCE groups in Regions 1, 2, and 3.

STAY Grants will be awarded to support Society outreach to students that demonstrates the value of ASCE both during their undergraduate years and beyond. Up to 30 grants of $500 to $1,500 will be awarded to ASCE groups with plans to show students that staying with ASCE will boost their transition into the profession and take their career further. Results of the pilot in Regions 1, 2, and 3 will help determine whether to take the program nationwide. For STAY Grant guidelines, email Leslie Payne, ASCE director of student and younger member programs, at lpayne@asce.org. Applications are due Sept. 21.
